Terms of Use
Last updated: October 3, 2026
These terms are the rules for using FreeWing’s website and products. We’ve kept them short and in plain words. Please read them. By using freewing.ca or Site4SoreEyes, you agree to them.
Who we are and what these terms cover
FreeWing is FREEWING TECHNOLOGIES CORP. (BC1606691), a company in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. When these terms say “FreeWing,” “we,” or “us,” they mean us.
These terms cover:
- Our website, freewing.ca
- Site4SoreEyes, our Chrome extension
- Any other FreeWing product that links to these terms
How we handle your information is explained on our Privacy page. It is part of these terms.
Using our products
Site4SoreEyes changes how web pages look on your screen. You can hide clutter by clicking it, restyle a page by describing what you want in plain English, paste your own CSS, and translate French to English on your device.
Some things to know before you use it:
- It works on every website you visit, because that’s how it can change any page you choose. The changes happen on your device.
- You don’t need an account.
- It’s free. It will be available on the Chrome Web Store soon.
- If we ever add paid features, we’ll show you the price and the terms before you pay. You won’t be charged for anything you didn’t agree to.
You may use our products for your own personal or work use, as long as you follow these terms.
Your own AI key and other AI companies
Some requests need AI. You have two ways to get it.
Your own key. You can connect your own key from OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, or a compatible service. Your request then goes straight to the company you chose, and their terms and privacy policy apply as well as ours. You’re responsible for your account with them and for anything they charge you.
FreeWing’s hosted AI (when available). Once it’s switched on, you can use AI without a key. Your request goes to a FreeWing server run on Cloudflare, which passes it along to Groq to get an answer. Cloudflare and Groq are both US companies.
Either way, the extension sends only what it needs for that request: what you typed, the site’s name, and, if you turn it on in Settings, an outline of how the page is built (tags and layout only, no text). It never sends the page’s text or the full web address. Our Privacy page has the details.
Check the AI’s work
AI can get things wrong. It might hide something you needed, miss what you asked for, or translate a phrase badly. Look at the result before you rely on it, especially for anything important like money, health, legal matters, or forms. You can undo or turn off any change.
Other people’s websites
We don’t own or run the websites you visit, and we’re not responsible for what’s on them. Site4SoreEyes changes only how a page looks on your own screen. It doesn’t change the website itself or what anyone else sees.
Choosing to hide or restyle part of a page is up to you. Please follow the rules of the sites you use. If hiding something means you miss a notice, a warning, or a term you agree to, that’s your responsibility, not ours.
What you may not do
Please don’t:
- Use our products for anything illegal or to harm anyone
- Overload, abuse, or misuse FreeWing’s hosted AI, for example by sending automated or bulk requests, or trying to use it for something other than restyling pages
- Reverse-engineer, change, or work around the extension’s safety checks, including the allowlist that checks AI answers before they can change a page
- Copy, resell, or pass off our products or website as your own
If you break these rules, we may block your access to FreeWing’s hosted AI.
Our content, name, and logo
The FreeWing name, the FreeWing logo, the Site4SoreEyes name, our website, and our software belong to us. Using our products doesn’t give you ownership of any of them, and you may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we’re connected to you or approve of you.
The styles and rules you create on your device are yours.
No promises beyond these terms
We work hard to make our products useful and reliable. But they are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that they’ll always work, be error-free, work on every website, or meet your particular needs. FreeWing’s hosted AI may be limited, paused, or turned off at any time.
Limit of our responsibility
To the extent the laws of British Columbia and Canada allow, FreeWing isn’t responsible for any indirect or unexpected losses from using our products or website. That includes lost data, lost income, or problems caused by a change to a web page or by an AI answer.
If we are found responsible for something, the most we owe you is what you paid us for the product in question. Today our products are free, so that amount is nothing.
Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have by law that can’t be taken away.
Stopping use
You can stop at any time. To remove Site4SoreEyes, uninstall it from Chrome. Your saved changes are stored on your device and are removed with it.
We may change, pause, or stop a product, or stop offering FreeWing’s hosted AI. Some parts of these terms keep applying after you stop, such as the sections on our content, no promises, and our responsibility.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our products or the law change. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change is important, we’ll make it clear on this page. If you keep using our products after a change, you agree to the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you a right to use your local courts.
